In a world where life always seems to be moving at full speed, it is essential to embrace moments of Radical Selfcare. Not just self-care, but real attention to what your body and mind need to recover, glow and feel energised. One of my favourite tools for this is red light therapy.

Perhaps you have heard of it, or perhaps it is completely new to you — either way, I would love to share why it has become a daily habit for me and what it could mean for you.

What makes red light therapy so special? It is not hocus-pocus, but a scientifically supported method that has been studied for years and is becoming increasingly popular.

Thinking about buying a red light panel? I use a Sunsbest panel myself and am very happy with it. Would you like to create your own red light moment? Take a look here and discover which device suits you.

What exactly is red light therapy?

Red light therapy uses light in the red and near-infrared spectrum. These specific wavelengths penetrate deep into your skin and stimulate your cells to work more energetically and efficiently. It sounds simple, but the effects can be impressive.

What can red light therapy do for you?

Here are some scientifically supported benefits that can make a real difference:

  1. Radiant, youthful skin
Red light stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. I use it daily and see a clear reduction in wrinkles. My skin feels firmer and looks healthier!
  2. More energy in the morning
A 20-minute session with my red light lamp gives me an energy boost that I feel all day. It is a regular part of my morning routine and helps me start the day feeling fresh and energised.
  3. Faster muscle recovery
After a good workout, red light therapy helps your muscles recover faster. It reduces inflammation and muscle soreness, so you are ready for your next challenge sooner.
  4. Pain relief for joints and muscles
Do you experience chronic pain, for example in your back or knees? Red light can help reduce pain and inflammation without the side effects of medication.
  5. Improved sleep quality
A few minutes of red light before bed can stimulate melatonin production, helping you sleep more deeply and soundly.

How do I include red light therapy in my routine?

Every morning I take 20 minutes to sit with my red light lamp. This moment of rest and recovery is an essential part of my Radical Selfcare. It takes just a little time each day, but the effects are powerful and lasting.

Let’s glow, recover and become our best, energetic selves together!
