Apple and brie tower
Print recipeThis tower of warm apple, creamy brie and crunchy walnuts is wonderfully tasty. A simple dish to treat yourself or someone who (also) deserves it! Lovely as a lunch with a green salad or as a beautiful starter for a cosy dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 150 g brie
- Handful of walnuts
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Kitchen tools:
- oven dish, baking paper, apple corer and 4 skewers
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Wash the apples (do not peel) and slice off the bottom so they stand firmly. Cut each apple into 5 slices and remove the core from each slice using the apple corer. No apple corer? Use a paring knife instead.
- Cut the brie into slices and roughly chop half of the walnuts. Stack the apple slices and layer 2 slices of brie and a few pieces of walnut between each slice. Secure the apple tower with two skewers, pushing them vertically through the apple slices from the top.
- Place the apples in the oven dish and bake for 10–15 minutes. Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and scatter over the remaining walnuts.
